JULIAN ABBOTT • OWNER + ENGINEER
Nowave Studio was founded in 2009 by owner, engineer and musician Julian Abbott. With over 15 years’ experience in studios – playing, recording and mixing music, he has been fortunate to work with countless musicians, bands and producers from all styles, including platinum selling award winning artists.
Julian opened his first studio in Byron Bay in 2014, before settling in Mullumbimby Creek in the Byron Shire Hinterland in 2019 and spending 3 years designing and building a brand new private studio facility that officially reopened to the public in late 2022. Utilising multiple skills from mechanical and electrical engineering to acoustic design and advanced joinery, Julian has gained an all encompassing knowledge in the art of perfecting sound.

Boundy is a freelance Sound Engineer based in Byron Bay Australia, with over 15 years’ experience as a studio and live sound engineer, tertiary educator and audio industry consultant, Boundy enhances any sonic project.

Our mixing engineers work 100% Analog on the ex 1979 Bowie Console in conjunction with Pro Tools Ultimate. Online mixing includes 3 revisions per song.
